Adobe Reader Freezes
We have tested Acrobat DC on Windows 10 and have not encountered any issues. Completely reloaded all programs, including Windows 10 & Acrobat. in the end I found out that if you disable the Weblink plugin (see a how-to below), everything becomes normal! Close Task Manager, and see if Acrobat runs OK. I use Windows 7 Professional.I uninstalled it already 2 times, using the cleaner tool you mentioned, but nothing helps. How can I provide reasons for racism? I didn't know what this mode is being used for so I did a short research: With protected mode enabled PDFs will be opened in a sandbox.

This is a work computer that I adopted from a previous employee. Adobe Reader Not Responding When Printing So, my guess is that something previously within the operating system itself was causing the problem. I've found that this non-responsive issue happens regardless of what other programs are running at the same time. I've submitted a bug report to Adobe.

Now that you mention that, it seems every time I have had Acrobat stop responding, it has been when I attempted to switch files using the Windows task bar. PDF files that Adobe Reader struggled to open, Foxit opened within a few seconds.
