Advent Laptop Not Booting
I am completely amazed. It worked! I opened up my laptop (actually to replace heat sink fan ) and found that the connector is soldered on small pcb. To me it sounds like a possible problem with the motherboard. his comment is here
If not, you have either a bad AC adapter or a problem with the motherboard. I dont understand how it works, but it does. Here's how you can test it. This actually worked on my girlfriends laptop when the exact same problem happened. http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/forums/startup-problems

There was no other action on the laptop. I tried this and it worked!! All you need too do is take the power cord and battery off then hold the power button down for 30 seconds. THANK YOU!!!!!

There is a possibility of bad CPU but CPU failure is not very common. Thanks for your help!! This worked. Advent Boot Menu then my laptop is searching and searching but not open my win 8 This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
But after turning the laptop upside down it worked! My dad's HP wasn't turning on, he was freaking out because he had to send something for work, I tried it and suddenly it worked. Good Luck! check over here Just wondering, do you know what might have caused the problem in the first place?

If for some reason you removed the CPU, make sure it's seated properly and the CPU socket on the motherboard is locked.
