Canon vs Nikon is mostly down to personal preference about how they feel in your hand. My plan is to have some basic classes and then a more advanced lighting class. Check rebate prices and customer reviews ofcourse. I suppose another possibility is oc'ing my card, but the thought of that makes me nervous.
The 18-105 lense seemed to have an awesome zoom when compared to my canon sureshot and even the D5000 - so I guess I'll just have to take the plunge. I have watched and helped my late husband with these things but never attempted hardware stuff myself so a blow-by-blow account might be helpful....?
