It's not, however, a state for a process actually exposed by the operating system. If you want to check CPU usage for that kind of down-sizing, affinity mask is an interesting way to try it! check these guys out

Call Of Chernobyl Probably AI is handled by another thread and since AI is heavier in Misery, playing around with affinity might help, but it seem useless for vanilla and Lost Alpha.
It won't help because you first need to be able to launch Task Manager (or switch to it, if you were prescient enough to have it already running), and none of Task Manager Set Priority Windows 10 I only used it for command line programs. I set xrEngine.exe to high priority and for affinity I un-checked CPU0 and voila! http://newwikipost.org/topic/qh7bCdbjHHMHFTG0KCZ1qPK34mPKKRHH/Changing-process-priority-or-limiting-maximum-CPU.html How Do I Use This in Real Life?

We want to run multiple instances on non-VM platforms (new licensing model means it's cheaper!).
If you use an affinity mask of 9, that will convert into binary 1001, which indicates CPU 0 and CPU 3. It's come in handy for me on a number of occasions. This can be made a global-policy configurable parameter, somewhere in ControlSession Manager key, so those rare deployments that actually need rigid priorities would be able to run with the legacy scheme. But I've never had Explorer crash or hang as a result of suspending an application.
